This past Thursday, twenty-nine golfers took the field at 8:30 in the morning at Angel Fire Resort. The name of the game this time, was a “shamble” that combined the two best scores from each four person team.
Tying for first place with the score of 106 was the team of (1) Sean Simonson, Tom Mabrey, Aggie Don Mika, and Harold Clark, and (2) the team of president Charles Earhart, Don Lambert, Sir Borden Naylor, and “Cedrick Phantom” (a partner determined by blind draw.)
Third place with a score of 108 was taken by the team of Jim Wyche, former medical officer Richard Moore, Gentleman Jack Frazier, and William Warren. Getting their drives closest to par three holes were Vernon Barrick on hole 6, Warren Teets on hole 8, and Richard Moore on hole 12.
Next week’s action will take the form of a “Texas Scramble” requiring each player to have at least four drives. Good golfing y’all.
