Angel Fire Police received a report of a potentially suicidal person. RP reported through dispatch that the suicidal individual was heading towards Taos. Officer was unable to locate the individual in Angel Fire. Taos SO and PD were made aware and also looking for the individual.

Officer was called out in reference to possible subject(s) throwing rocks at RP’s residence. Officer made contact with the RP who stated he heard three (3) loud bangs on the East side of the residence. A check of the East side of the residence with the RP revealed no fresh marks or damage consistent with projectiles being thrown. No projectiles were located anywhere along the East side of the residence. RP had a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. The event was unfounded.

Officer was called out to respond to a business alarm indicating the left and right entrance ways. Officer responded to a commercial burglary alarm indicating the left and right entrance ways. Officer conducted an exterior check of the facility and everything appeared to in order. No signs of attempted forced entry or glass breakage were evident. Alarm Company attempted to contact several key holders but met with negative results. Officer advised dispatch in the event a key holder responded and wanted to conduct a walk through with law enforcement to re-contact the officer. The cause of the alarm was undetermined.

Officer was dispatched to speak to subject in reference to a civil matter. Officer contacted the reporting party via cell phone who advised he received a text message from his current roommate advising him he had to vacate the residence he was subletting in 48 hours. RP advised he had been residing at the residence since June. RP was advised of the civil process for eviction. RP was not involved in an on-going continual personal relationship with roommate.

Officer was requested to meet with AFFD EMS in the area of Mountain View Boulevard and N. Angel Fire Road in reference to a dog bite victim. Officer responded to the area of Mountain View Boulevard and N. Angel Fire Road at the request of AFFD EMS in reference to a child who was the victim of a dog bite.

Officer determined the child was bit by a family friend’s canine. Officer further determined the incident occurred in the area of the TTT Bar Ranch outside of the AFPD jurisdictional boundaries. The officer obtained the fathers information and forwarded it to Red River Dispatch for the appropriate agency. The child was transported to Holy Cross Hospital via ambulance.

Officer was dispatched to the 20 block of Quivera Road in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival it was determined 2 WMA’s, one wearing a burnt orange shirt, in a silver Lincoln Navigator with unknown plates fired four (4) rounds at the end of Quivera. A check of the area where the shots were fired revealed no spent casings indicating the possible use of a revolver.

Officer was dispatched the area of the Angel Fire Resort Campground on Vail in reference to a loud noise complaint. The unidentified caller advised there were vehicles revving engines and loud talking. Officer located a gathering at 67 El Camino Real which was breaking up. Officer contacted renter who advised the gathering was over.

Officer responded to a vehicle complaint where an ATV was operating in the area at a high rate of speed. RP advised a brown in color 4 seat type ATV was operating on the trail area behind the residence at a high rate of speed. RP further advised the ATV had passed on at least two (2) occasions. RP advised the operator was wearing camouflage type clothing. Officer attempted to locate the vehicle in the area but met with negative results. Officer will close patrol the area for the remainder of the shift.

Officer was dispatched to a non-injury traffic crash involving a single vehicle and an elk in the area of Mountain View Boulevard and Airport Road. The officer completed a non-injury Uniform Crash Report. (23170892). Additionally, the officer escorted the vehicle and its occupants to Lowe’s so the driver could ascertain if the vehicle had any mechanical problems due to the crash.  The vehicle was found to be satisfactory and the driver and occupants continued on to their destination.

A check of the area for the elk met with negative results.
