Angel Fire Police Department received a phone in report of a lost item. The reporting person advised she remembered packing her earrings upon departure from the Angel Fire Resort and upon her return home could not locate the items. The reporting person was adamant the item was not stolen but had been lost.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to an agency request from the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) in reference to a suspicious vehicle and persons near a residence (occupied by an elderly female) that was possibly vandalized recently. The officer arrived in the area and was unable to any vehicle or persons. A check of the area approximately a 1/2 mile north of the residence resulted in negative contact. The officer made contact with the reporting person and was given the number to Red River Dispatch in the event of a medical or law enforcement emergency and was advised to contact Raton dispatch as well.

Individual was unable to get her new license plate onto her car due to stuck screws and wanted advice on the best way to display her license plate until she could resolve the problem. Officer provided her the correct method for this situation.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to a parking complaint in which a vehicle had blocked another vehicle and was occupied with unattended children while running. Upon arrival the reporting party advised the vehicle, a silver in color Honda bearing a Texas license plate, had parked so close she could not access her vehicle. The reporting party advised the vehicle was running and was occupied by two juveniles approximately 10 years of age seated in the rear seat. The adults arrived before the arrival of the officer and were described as a middle age light complexed Hispanic male and an older olive skinned Hispanic male.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to an armed subject possibly shooting prairie dogs in the area. The officer arrived in the area and was unable to locate the subject. A check of the area North and South on Pine Valley and Pinehurst met with negative results. The area of Woodland as well as Via Del Rey and Woodland met with negative results.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to a request of a welfare check on a 6-year-old juvenile. The reporting party stated her ex-husband advised he was going to take the child to the hospital to have his collar bone examined. The reporting party advised she contacted Holy Cross in Taos and they never arrived. The officer made contact with the father and child at the residence. The father advised he was going to take the child in the morning to have his shoulder examined due to an incident occurring in the Lubbock, Texas, area. The officer re-contacted the reporting party and advised her the child was fine and medical evaluation would be sought in the morning.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to an abandoned vehicle. Upon arrival the officer located the vehicle, a black in color Honda CRX displaying NM license plate, with moderate front end damage and the hood cover missing. An inspection of the vehicle revealed it appeared to have stuck an elk as was evident by the hair located on parts of the front of the vehicle. The business was advised on their procedure to remove the vehicle if they chose so. The business advised they would let the vehicle remain a day. A check of a crash location met with negative results on US 64 and Mountain View Blvd. No carcass or debris was located.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to a residential alarm. The residence was described as the second house from the end. Upon arrival the officer was met by neighbors who reset the alarm for the elderly residents who recently moved in. The cause of the alarm was operator error.

Angel Fire Police Department complaint of a bright residential light. The officer contacted the reporting party via Department landline. The officer previously investigated the complaint of the light illuminating the meadow area during the evening hours. A check of the area found the light mounted to the rear of the residence but performing as designed. No violation of law or ordinance was evident. The reporting party was advised to contact the Resort to ascertain if it is possibly a covenant issue that could resolve the matter.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to suspicious activity referred by NMSP Albuquerque who forwarded it to NMSP Las Vegas. NMSP advised a male subject, who gave the last name of Migilles, said subjects were entering his residence at 64 N. Angel Fire Road and having “wild sex” parties. The officer did not respond due to the address being non-existent. No report.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to a suspicious vehicle at Olympic Park. Upon arrival the officer observed a dark blue Subaru displaying NM plate AAHM86 on the East side of the parking lot. The passenger side window was down and the driver’s seat reclined. Nobody was observed in the area. A registration query revealed the vehicle was not stolen and returned to a local registered owner.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to a report of shots fired west of the residence. The officer arrived in the area and proceeded to check the area North, South, East, and West of the residence and was unable to locate nor heard any shots. The officer contacted the reporting party who advised he heard possibly two shots or one shot and a report west of the residence. The reporting party was advised to re-contact the police if he heard any further shots.

It appeared the alarm was in the off mode upon the officer arrived in the area.

Angel Fire Police Department responded to a suspicious incident where some subjects dropped off two bikes and a bag under the porch of the residence. The reporting party stated the subjects in a black Ford F-150 Super cab with a possible Texas plate backed into the driveway and unloaded two bikes and a bag and departed the area with one bike remaining in the vehicle mounted bike rack. A yellow vinyl bag containing safety gear was placed near the steps. The two mountain bikes, one white and one black were padlocked to a pillar. It appeared the bikes and bag were inadvertently placed at the wrong address. The reporting party was advised to re-contact the police if the subjects returned so they could be identified and interviewed.

Angel Fire Police Department took an in person non injury crash report. The reporting party advised he was NB in the 3400 block of Mountain View Blvd when a cow elk ran from the West side of the roadway to the East. Th ereporting party advised he attempted to brake to avoid striking the animal but was unsuccessful. The vehicle sustained slight damage to the LF quarter panel and door. A State crash report was accomplished.
