Angel Fire Police Department responded to a walk-in in reference to canines at large in the area of Armijo and Sage. The RP reported 2 (two) incidents of canines at large on Jan. 20 and 21. The reporting person (RP) identified the canines as a black in color Husky mix and a brown in color Collie mix. The RP did not want to pursue dog-at-large charges but asked the officer to speak to the owner. The officer will attempt to contact the owner during the shift.

01/22/2018 22:32:00 18-000026 Vehicle Complaint

Angel Fire Police Department was dispatched to a vehicle complaint involving a black sports car doing doughnuts in the parking lot of a business. Upon arrival the officer observed a black in color Audi 4D parked and occupied on the West side of the parking lot. The officer contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle and advised him of the call. The driver admitted to committing the act stating “He was having fun on the ice.” The driver possessed a valid NM DL, was given a verbal warning, and was advised to leave the area.

Angel Fire Police Department received a complaint of a possible scam. RP reported he had become involved in a conversation via text messages with a reported juvenile, age 16, he met through Craigslist. RP states the parents are now requesting $1,000 for a new phone in order to destroy all evidence of the conversations / alleged inappropriate photos or they will go to the police.

An off-duty Angel Fire Police Department officer advised he received a text message about a “drugged out” woman at a business. The officer arrived in the area and was unable to locate a female subject walking in the area of the business. A sweep was conducted North and South of the business. The officer will close patrol the business the remainder of the shift.

01/30/2018 17:15:00 18-000033 Harassment

Angel Fire Police Department responded to a walk-in harassment complaint. The RP advised she was the victim of harassment resulting from a near vehicle crash that occurred on Jan. 26. The RP advised at approximately 1630 hours this date a black Ford SUV, displaying a NM license plate, cut her off as it exited the Mini-Mart and followed her and her friend into the Angel Skye Apartments parking lot where she became engaged in a verbal altercation with a male driver. The RP advised there have at least two other incidents involving the vehicle prior to today’s event. A report will be generated to document the incident.

Angel Fire Police Department received a report of a business alarm triggered by motion inside the reception area. Upon arrival, the business was found to be secure and the cause of the alarm is not known.

Angel Fire Police received a phone call in regards to inappropriate communications among students. RP advised she didn’t want to file a criminal complaint and wanted the former student to learn from this. Officer advised RP to contact the Police Department if there was further contact.

Request for civil standby. RP requested assistance with retrieving a pair of pants loaned to another party. The second party denied knowing where the pants were. Informed RP that was a civil matter and the PD would not get involved.

Angel Fire Police responded to a residential alarm activation. Alarm was set off by contractors completing work at the residence. Officer cleared the house and the alarm was reset by the alarm company.

Intoxicated and disorderly male trespassed and would not leave. Subject was advised numerous times to leave the area but would not do so. He was arrested and booked into Vigil Maldonado Detention Center (VMCD). Report taken.

Angel Fire Police observed a violation of the burn ban. Officer contacted the home owner and informed him he was in violation of the burn ban. The owner thought he was in compliance by using the outdoor cooking fireplace. Owner agreed to extinguish the fire. No citation issued.
