With 55 participants, the annual Fishing Derby had the best turnout yet, according to organizer Karen Kelly, director of marketing for Red River Ski & Summer Area. The fishing derby at the Town Ponds were stocked with tagged fish. Those who caught tagged fish were eligible to win cash prizes from $100 to $250.

“The weather was great and the fish hit really early,” Kelly said. “Some people killed it.”
