Last weekend’s Christmas Kitchen Bake Sale (Dec. 18 and 19) at Lowe’s Market in Angel Fire raised $1,847.31 for the local ALM (Always Loving Mankind) food pantry, which delivers food to 157 people in our area.

Angel Fire’s Carol Verry is pricing her bags of gourmet popcorn for the Dec. 19-20 Christmas Kitchen Bake Sale, a benefit for Always Loving Mankind Food Pantry. Angel Fire’s Bunny Jankowski, surely the best baker in Northern New Mexico, contributed 40 items to the bake sale, including: 10 cakes/tortes, 5 cream pies, 6 packages of brownies and so much more! Her four-layer Amaretto Cake with cream cheese icing and a sprinkling of nuts was the top seller for baked goods. Bunny used a whopping 15 pounds of butter and 12 dozen eggs in her creations. A mother/daughter duo bought the Amaretto Cake, all smiles after paying $30.
