The Fort Sumner Foxes also captured the boys state championship making it a family affair as the Foxes scored 82 points to outdistance Tatum with 53 and Melrose with 50.5. The Ram boys contingent of Richard Chavez, Denver Crowder, Patrick Mulligan, William Ott, and Justin Trujillo scored three points to finish 20th in the field.
