Celebrate Independence Day in Red River

Red River is the perfect place for families and no time is this more obvious than during the annual 4th of July Parade & Celebration! The day begins at 10 a.m. with the largest parade in Northern New Mexico, with the theme “Wild, Wild West,” followed by a full day of family-friendly activities all over town.

If you are interested in having a float contact the Chamber of Commerce at 575-754-2366.

After the parade, head to Brandenburg Park for a picnic including hot dogs, old-fashioned soda, popcorn, and a DJ. Take part in the Red River Community House Egg Toss & Family Games on the lawn and make memories you will be talking about for a long time.

Red River visitors can always travel the 18 miles over the hill to Eagle Nest to enjoy the fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Fireworks are never legal in the town of Red River, which is currently under a town-wide burn ban.
