Event brings together songs and songwriters
Nashville is known throughout the world as the Mecca for songwriters and Northern New Mexico has quietly become a place of inspiration for many of these musically creative individuals. Performer and songwriter Billy Dawson from Sunray, Texas, is bringing the two together for a high-energy evening of acoustic music Saturday (June 25) at Lost Eagle Park in Eagle Nest. Activities will take place throughout the day, with musical events beginning at 5 p.m. The Nashville to New Mexico Writers Round brings together such well-known artists as
Rivers Rutherford, with songs for Tim McGraw, Brad Paisey, Montgomery Gentry and more;
Jon Nite (from Amarillo, Texas), with hits for Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, plus a long list of other stars;
Jeffrey Steele, who has penned hits for Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and many others; and, of course,
Billy Dawson, Artist of the Year at the Nashville Industry Music Awards, as well as Best Country Male Vocalist and Best Live Country Performer.
The Nashville to New Mexico Writers Round is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. Advance tickets can be purchased at nashvilletonewmexico.com
