Dr. Donavon F. Christian, 80, passed away April 29, 2017. He was born and raised in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Amy (Weaklum) Christian. He was a former U.S. Marine, received a B.S. from UCLA, a Masters Degree from University of California, Long Beach, and a Dr. of Chiropractic from University of Pasadena, California. After college, he hitchhiked for 3 very enriching years throughout western and eastern Europe and Africa, working and studying. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; sons, Dr. Douglas and Dr. Keith Christian of Taos, and daughter Pam Christian of Santa Monica, California; grandchildren Dr. Jennifer Christian of Denver, Jessica Christian of Abquerque, Justin Keay of Santa Monica, California, and Haley Keay of Taos. Grandson, Erik Christian preceded him in death two years prior. Dr. Christian enjoyed tennis, skiing, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and traveling. He loved to use his chiropractic skills wherever he traveled, including Mexico and Peru. Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Calvary Taos, located on Camino del Medio, just north of Paseo del Canon.
