RATON — The Cimarron Rams and Lady Rams took home the 2015 Cowbell consolation titles, albeit in different ways, on Saturday (Dec. 12).

The Ram boys downed Des Moines 69-38, while the Lady Rams lost to Des Moines 50-44 in the Raton High gymnasium. The Lady Rams were to play the West Las Vegas junior varsity, but the Lady Dons were unable to compete. Des Moines, which lost the 7th place game, volunteered to substitute in their place and were a surprise winner.

Cimarron was awarded the consolation trophy since WLV defaulted.
