TrindieFest Film Festival set for Sept. 18 to 21

TRINIDAD, COLORADO —The 3rd Annual TrindieFest Truly Independent Film Festival is set for Sept. 18 to 21. Over the festival’s three-day run, the 30 award-winning films of 2014 will screen at Trinidad State Junior College, 600 Prospect Street. Film industry professionals will share their experience and expertise at the Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre located in downtown Trinidad.  

Featured among the 2014 guest speakers are: distributor Jamie Thomson of Lighthouse Pictures, the writer/director/producer/cinematographer team for the recently-completed Houston, Texas film “Dawn of the Crescent Moon,” which won two Gold Remi awards at Houston’s WorldFest Film Festival in April, and writer/director/actor/producer Kerry Beyer, the co-founder of SPLATTERFEST.

Casting Director, Dixie Webster-Davis of Casting, Inc. grew up in Trinidad, and is a graduate of Trinidad State Junior College. Now a success in Hollywood, she will return to her home town to share her success story and extensive knowledge in the  casting world.

Festival founders and organizers, Kirk and Julie Loudon, started TrindieFest in 2012 and have grown the festival each year, bringing filmmakers, actors, and film industry professionals to Trinidad to make connections and develop their projects, and to share their love of film with the local community.
